About Us
Karwar Education Society is a pioneer in the field of education in Uttara Kannada District and has brought about a silent revolution in the academic thought process, with its initiative in the formal education system. It was formed in 1945 to give shape and substance to the private initiative of a few visionaries who had started an educational institution way back in 1897 in the name of Hindu High School. The present Balmandir Group of Schools came to be established initially with Marathi medium and later on started offering meaningful education in English and Kannada Medium.
At present, we have four independent entities working simultaneously providing value based education in different levels and thus Balmandir Group of Schools today consists of –

It will usher in a sense of courage to act on their own beliefs and be creative in their approach to life. Our aim is to provide quality education to children by inculcating in them positive human values and by exposing them to the broader aspects of our rich ancient heritage. Thus, we at Balmandir emphasize on total development of each child spiritually, morally, intellectually, emotionally and physically. Children are encouraged to get exposed to the vibrant heritage of our motherland and make them responsible and responsive citizens of the country.
